Beware: Previous version of this program may not scan directories if they contain some accented European characters.
I found that behaviour for polish version of Windows 3.11/95 and heard of Japanese and Bulgarians
having the same problem. The problem was fixed in version 1.15.
- F-STOPW.ZIP F-STOPW, VXD for W95, 786 kB,
for functioning it needs viria-bases extracted from fp-def.zip and macrodef2.zip
- f-stopw is oudated - please download fp-win_trial.zip instead
So before installation one have to unZip FP-313.ZIP and F-STOPW.ZIP
into the same directory and then run SETUP.EXE program.
On some machines installation ends up with blue screen with error codes.
The only thing one can do is reset computer, run it in "failure mode"
and uninstall FSI.EXE program. I do not know the reason yet. :(
Maybe other resident program is the culprit. Maybe other AntiVirus
program installed ?
From Frisk Software one can download 30-days trial version
fp-win_trial.zip.
This one replaces F-STOPW memory resident scanner and contains DOS scanner
as well. Both programs use the same databases, so one can update databases
from this site or from the Frisk Software server
